Series consists of digital and physical records documenting Shiyang Sun’s academic coursework during her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Toronto from 2019 to 2025. The series notably includes an independent undergraduate research project, which involved quantitative sociolinguistic analysis focused on language variation and change within Chinese language communities in North America, relating to her advocacy in language diversity. Research materials include emails with supervisors, research design notes, interview recordings and materials regarding conference presentations. Additional academic materials include essays, reports, annotated bibliographies, research proposals, and detailed study notes across various courses. Topics covered include literature, political philosophy, art and archeology, theoretical and applied linguistics, archival theories and museum studies.

In 2020, Ankomah began to attend Toronto Metropolitan University. During her time at Toronto Metropolitan University Ankomah would take a variety of Criminology and History courses. In 2024, after graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University, Ankomah would begin to attend the University of Toronto Faculty of Information as a Masters of Information candidate in the Archives and Records Management concentration. During her undergraduate and graduate education Ankomah would either hand write or use Google Drive to create and complete her coursework.

This series consist coursework of Ankomah which includes physical and digital drafts and final copies of essays, research notes for essays, physical and digital drafts and final copies of research assignments, lecture notes, and a collage completed during Ankomah undergraduate and graduate education.

Series includes the written notes, digital textual records, and graphic material created by Dylan Norton during his five years of undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The physical written materials are almost entirely in-class notes and translation notes for Latin and Greek texts, while the digital textual records are term papers and other written assignments, and the graphic materials are PowerPoint presentations. Subjects covered are predominantly classical history, political science, history more broadly, and Greco-Roman literature. Files are ordered chronologically by year and semester, and grouped according to record type (that is, physical textual records, digital textual records, and graphic materials).

This series contains records created during Robyn’s travel in Italy before and during her work on the Villa of Titus archaeology site. The records document her time spent in Rome, Florence and the village of Castel Sant’Angelo. The records include receipts from restaurants and grocery shopping, tickets from trains and museums, and notes about archeological sites visited. Photos were taken daily by Robyn, documenting daily travel and activities.

This series details Jae Kim’s exhibition at The ArQuives from September 2024 to July 2025, which focused on transgender/gender-diverse folks from the Asian diaspora and their notions of kinship. Participants were selected from across Canada, representing diverse experiences and regional perspectives. This exhibition was part of a larger series of ongoing exhibitions by the Curatorial Committee intended to increase community engagement and outreach efforts, funded by a $1000 grant from the Mark S. Bonham Centre at the University of Toronto.

Series consists of records related to the planning, promotion, and execution of the exhibit, including meeting minutes, contracts, invoices, participant forms, flyers, photographs, video footage, exhibition schedules, programming documents, and correspondence. Correspondence includes communication between Kim, Curatorial Committee members, staff at The ArQuives, and exhibit participants. Series also contains creative outputs produced by participants, including zines, short films, photographs, and audio recordings.

Records have been organized thematically in three broad phases that reflect the development of the exhibition: pre-exhibit planning, the exhibit’s active period, and post-exhibit documentation.
