Biographical history

Emily Bridgland was born and raised in the GTA, attends Hope Bible Church in Oakville, and attended Robert Bateman High School (now defunct) from 2015-2019, the University of Toronto, Mississauga from 2019-2023, and the University of Toronto's iSchool from 2023-2025.

Custodial history

Most of the materials remained in the creator's possesion from the time of creation until the time of transfer of ownership to the archive. Materials held in the "work materials" series were not originally under Bridgland's custodianship. She took her intellectual materials with her upon resignation, with the understanding that sensitive materials be restricted.

Scope and content

This fonds is comprised of work and research created by Bridgland during her academic career, from high school through a post-graduate program, through the years 2015-2025. While the time frame is of Bridgland's academic career, the materials do not necessarily pertain solely to academics. It is comprised of digital text files, digital audio and visual recordings, and physical papers and notebooks. It has remained in the organizational structure that Bridgland worked in, sorted into three series: "personal materials," "school materials," and "work materials." The "work materials" were created during her time as a receptionist in a Burlington retirement home.
