Fonds represents Ted Kulczycky’s professional and hobbyist projects as bookseller, bartender, filmmaker, musician, event host, scholar, and especially researcher and writer. Most items in the fonds were created in Kulczycky’s lifetime, but some records he has collected date as early as 1948.

The bulk of the collection consists of items Kulczycky collected or created in his activities as researcher and writer. The biggest projects, on comedy troupe Kids in the Hall and the motion picture Stop Making Sense are each represented as series. Other smaller research projects are contained as subseries in a third research projects series. The records in these series include a wide variety of media of diverse provenance: film production documents, promotional materials, original photography, original audio recordings, original video recordings, original interview materials, and comprehensive original bibliographies of published works with complete reference copies.
Kulczycky's scholarly pursuits, other creative works and biographical/personal materials are each given a series.

Fonds consists of the records generated during Dylan Norton's lifetime thus far, overwhelmingly from his academic career. The series are divided chronologically into the period before his secondary schooling ([ca. 1998]-2009), during his secondary schooling (2009-2013), his undergraduate studies (2014-2019), and his graduate studies up to the time of writing (2019-2025). The first two series contain a variety of school assignments, notes, and artifacts of recreational activities in both graphic and textual form, from childhood and public school art projects to written academic works of many sorts. The two post-secondary series are mostly textual, and consist primarily of written notes and digital assignments, mostly in the form of term papers of varying topic and scope. However, the PowerPoint presentations he created as part of his classes and teaching assistant work have also been included, and classified as graphic material.
