Fonds consists of the academic history, activism, interviews and photography by Alexie Ankomah. Records are organized into four series which include: print portrait photographs of families and friends, audio and video of oral history interviews conducted by Ankomah, letter correspondence related to activism, and textual and electronic records of essays, research notes, research assignments, lecture notes, and a collage from Ankomah undergraduate and graduate education.

This file consists of 10 x 15 cm and 13 x 18 cm b&w and col. portrait print photographs taken by Ankomah of her high school friends and university friends for either photography club and/or her personal collection.

In 2016, Ankomah joined her high school photography club where she would take of various types of photographs as part of weekly activities in order to improve her photography skills. One of the activities included taking 10 x 15 cm and 13 x 18 cm black & white and coloured portrait print photographs of friends and family. Ankomah would continue to participate in the club until 2020 when she graduated from A.Y Jackson Secondary School. After graduation Ankomah would continue to take portrait photographs of her friends and family to create a collection as a personal hobby.

This series consists of 10 x 15 cm and 13 x 18 cm b&w and col. print portrait photographs taken by Ankomah of family and friends for photography club and her own personal collection.

In 2020, Ankomah began to attend Toronto Metropolitan University. During her time at Toronto Metropolitan University Ankomah would take a variety of Criminology and History courses. In 2024, after graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University, Ankomah would begin to attend the University of Toronto Faculty of Information as a Masters of Information candidate in the Archives and Records Management concentration. During her undergraduate and graduate education Ankomah would either hand write or use Google Drive to create and complete her coursework.

This series consist coursework of Ankomah which includes physical and digital drafts and final copies of essays, research notes for essays, physical and digital drafts and final copies of research assignments, lecture notes, and a collage completed during Ankomah undergraduate and graduate education.
